Terms of Service

Draft for review by a Hong Kong solicitor before public launch. Last updated 10 October 2026.

1. Who runs Studify

Studify is operated by [Operator name, Business Registration no.]. Contact: hello@swap-sheet.com. Copyright notices: copyright@swap-sheet.com. We aim to act on valid notices within 24 hours.

2. What you may upload

Only work you created yourself (your own questions, notes, summaries and worked solutions) or material whose owner has given you written permission to share.

Never upload HKEAA past papers, marking schemes, sample or practice papers; publishers' textbooks or paid question banks; tutorial centres' notes; or a school's internal tests and mock papers without the school's permission. Never upload anything showing a student's personal details, such as a name, class number or student ID.

3. Your promises and responsibility

By uploading, you confirm that you own the work or have permission to share it, and that sharing it breaks no law or school rule. You are responsible for what you upload. If a claim is brought against Studify because of your upload, you agree to cover the resulting losses and costs to the extent the law allows.

You keep the copyright in your work. You give Studify a non-exclusive licence to store it, show a preview of it, and let other users open and download it on the platform.

4. Automatic checks

Every upload is read by an automated system that suggests its details and checks it before publication. Files identified as official HKEAA papers are rejected. Files the check cannot decide are held for a moderator. Automatic checks do not replace section 5.

5. Copyright notices

Anyone who believes a file infringes their copyright can email copyright@swap-sheet.com, identifying the file, the right claimed and their contact details, and stating that the notice is made in good faith. We review each notice; if it is valid, we remove the file and fingerprint it so it cannot be uploaded again. The uploader may send a counter-notice within 14 days if they believe the removal was a mistake.

6. Flags and strikes

A removed file, or an attempt to upload a blocked or rejected file, adds a flag to the uploader's account for 60 days. Three flags within 60 days is a strike, which pauses uploading until the oldest flag expires. Repeated strikes lead to a permanent ban.

7. AI tutor, mock papers and AI marking

Studify uses AI models to answer questions in the AI tutor, generate mock papers and model answers, and mark answers you submit. AI output can be wrong. Generated papers are not official HKEAA papers, model answers are not official marking schemes, and AI marks are an estimate, not a prediction of your HKDSE result. Check important points with your notes or teacher.

Do not submit other people's personal details, or material you are not allowed to share, to the AI features.

8. JUPAS calculator

The JUPAS calculator applies each programme's published score formula to the grades you enter. Comparison labels are based on past admission data and are a guide only. Universities can change formulas and requirements; always check the official university and JUPAS pages before making your choices.

9. Studify Plus and payments

Studify Plus is available as a monthly subscription or a one-off 30-day pass. The price is shown at checkout before you pay. Payments are handled by Stripe. You can cancel a subscription at any time from your profile; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. A 30-day pass does not renew automatically. We may pause access during unusually heavy use to keep the service fair for everyone. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to pay.

10. Anonymity

You can post as an anonymous student. Other users will not see your name or email, but Studify keeps a record of who uploaded each file to operate the platform and flags, and may disclose it where the law requires.

11. Not affiliated with the HKEAA

Studify is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA), JUPAS or any university.

12. Language

If these terms are provided in more than one language and the versions differ, the English version prevails.
